Netscape:

Note: Internet Explorer allows you to say the name of any link on the page to the click that link, which is something you cannot do in Netscape. However, Internet Explorer is very slow when you use it with NatSpeak, especially if you have a large Favorites folder. I do not use this capability, but instead use the Direct Grid commands described in the Moving the Mouse section (for example, "30 by 30") to click around the Web.

Switch This (This to)    Internet (Internet Explorer)
[This switches you to Internet Explorer and opens it to the same site you were on in Netscape. The command "Change to Netscape" does the same from Internet Explorer to Netscape. This is useful because Internet Explorer is very slow on some machines when used with NatSpeak 4.0 and a large Favorites folder. To get around this, I use Netscape's bookmarks and switch back and forth between Netscape and Internet Explorer depending on what I want to do.
Note that these commands only work properly when both Netscape and Internet Explorer are already active -- either in a window or minimized.]

*Location/Address
*Clear/Copy    Location/Address
Change Address
[This leaves you at the end of the location/address without the address highlighted.]
*com (Web)/net/gov/edu    Code
[This goes to the location bar, clears it, and types www.. plus the variable of your choice and leaves you in the middle of the periods. For instance "com Code" would return www..com]

*Show Locations
[This shows the <Location> list.]
*Show Locations Window (Bigger) (Bigger Window)    [This shows the list of locations in WordPad. Note that under WordPad, the macro window with a list of locations will also be open, so when you're done with them you have to close both.]
*
Add Location (Go)    [This and the next two commands allow you to add your own locations to the list.]
*Add Location To    Internet (Internet Explorer) (IE)/Netscape    [This allows you to add a location to the Internet Explorer list. Note that the plain "Add Location" command adds a location to Netscape only from both browsers. This allows you to avoid version problems if you switch back and forth between browsers.]
*Add    This/New/Paste    Location
*Add    Global    Go(Location)/Find (Home Find)     [This commands allow you to add bookmark and find locations to the global "Netscape <bookmarks> and "Netscape Find <Home Find> macros.]

Add    Mark (Bookmark)
[This adds the current location to the bottom of your bookmark file.]
Open    Marks (Bookmarks)    [This opens your bookmark file.]
File    Mark (Bookmark)    [This saves your current location to a bookmark folder. Note that you have to use the "Down/Up 1-100" commands to specify a folder, then say "Press Enter" to complete the save.]

*File    <File Categories>
[This goes a step further than the "File Mark" macro but it is fragile and needs to be customized. In order for this macro to work at all you must add a line for each Netscape folder you want to use and the number of down arrows needed to reach each of them. (Unfortunately, HeardWord and SendKeys commands don't work with this one.)]
Edit   <BookmarksFiles>    [The "Show" command opens the bookmark file you specify in the browser. The "Edit" command opens the bookmark file you specify into the Edit Bookmarks window. This is useful for keeping multiple or share bookmarks files. You will need to adjust the locations of these files in the macro itself and add your own bookmarks files to the Bookmarks Files list.]
File    <BookmarksFiles>    Mark    [This saves your current location to a bookmark folder in the bookmark file of your choice. This is only necessary if you are changing your Bookmarks File. Use the above "File Mark" command to file a location to the current bookmarks file.]

File    <BookmarksFiles>    <FileCategories>
Find    <Homepage Headings>
[This uses the "find" command to go to headings on your home page. You must put your own headings in this macro for it to work correctly.]

File Categories:
Reference/Media/Library/People/Business/Speech Recognition/TRN Categories     [You'll probably want to delete these categories and add your own.]

Bookmarks Files:
Bookmarks/TRN/Media    [If you want to use multiple bookmark files, you will need to add them to the <Bookmarks Files> macros and list, and you'll probably want to delete TRN and Media. "Bookmarks" goes to your home page.]

[This copies the URL of your current location to the program of your choice. The following command does the same and switches you back to Netscape]
