Global and NatSpeak Macro-Making Macros:

Note: The macros in this section exist in both Global and NatSpeak versions. For practical purposes, you don't need to think of these as anything more than Global macros, meaning you can use them no matter what program you are in. The NatSpeak version just works faster from the NatSpeak Window. If you modify these macros you need to modify the NatSpeak version of the following two macros:
<Macro Program> <Macro/Categories> and Edit (Change) <Macro Program> <Macro/Categories>
Note: remember that a program must be open or minimized in order for the Macro Program macros (<Macro Program> <Macro/Categories>) to work properly. See the previous section for a full explanation.

Global/Application    Macro
["Global Macro" takes you to Step 4 of the NatSpeak Global New Command Wizard. Global macros work across all programs on your computer. "Application Macro" takes you to Step 2 of the Application New Command Wizard. From here, you can choose which application you want the macro to work in.]

<Macro Program>    Macro/Categories
[The "Macro" macros are shortcuts to Step 4 of the Application New Command Wizard. They assume you want to write a program specific macro that applies to all the windows of that program. For example, you would say "Photoshop Macro" if you wanted to write a macro you could use wherever you were in Photoshop. The "Categories" macros are shortcuts to Step 3 of the Application New Command Wizard. From here, you can specify whether you want the macro to work in all windows of the program or in a specific window within the program. For example, if you say "Word Macro" you can then choose "Microsoft Word" if you want your Macro to work in all of Microsoft Word, or "Open" if you want the macro to work in Word's Open File window only. The option that allows the Macro to work in all windows of the specific program is highlighted as the default. For example, "Word Macro" brings up Step 3 of the Application New Command Wizard with "Microsoft Word" highlighted.]

Edit (Change)    Global/Application (App)
[The next four sets of macros are similar to the above macros, but they bring you to Step 3 or 4 of the NatSpeak Edit Command Wizard, where you can modify existing macros. "Edit App" is simply an alternative, shorter way to say "Edit Application. Similarly, you can say Change instead of Edit. Change is somewhat easier on your voice.]
Edit (Change)    <Macro Program>    [This takes you to step 4 of 7 of the Command Wizard for the application of your choice.]
Edit (Change)    <Macro Program>/Global/Application (App)    Macro    [This is an alternate way to say the above two macros.]

Edit (Change)    <Macro Program>    Categories/Top/Bottom/a-z
* ["Categories" takes you to step 3 of 7 for the application of your choice. "Top," "Bottom," and "a-z" all go to step 4 of 7 for the application of your choice, then puts the cursor at the top or bottom of the column or to the first entry that starts with the letter of your choice.]

<Macro Program > <Program Categories>
[This and the next macro allow you to go directly to a program macro that only works in a certain window in a program. They are shortcuts to Step 4 of the Application Macro Wizard. For instance, say "Dreamweaver Site Macro" to write a new Dreamweaver macro that only works in the Site window. To edit a macro for Word that works only in the Open window in Word, say "Edit Word Open," or "Change Word Open." Note: This macro, like all New Macro macros, only works correctly if the program you are writing a macro for is open. (Otherwise, you will end up with your macro in another program that is open, like NatSpeak.)]
Edit (Change)    <Macro Program>    <Program Categories>

Macro Programs: NatSpeak/Word/Notepad/Wordpad/Dreamweaver/Eudora/Netscape/Explorer/Fusion/Photoshop/FTP (Cute FTP)/HTML (Cute HTML)/Quicken/WordPerfect

Program Categories:
Bookmarks/Bookmarks.htm/Save Bookmarks/Canvas Size/Command Wizard/Composer/CuteFTP/Cute HTML/Dragon NaturallySpeaking/Dreamweaver/Eudora Pro/Exploring/Find/Font/Fusion/Image Size/Link/List/Macrowin/Netscape/Notepad/Open/Page View/Picture File Open/Photoshop/Properties/Publish Site/Publish View/Replace/Save As/Site/Site View/Windows Explorer/WordPad/WordPerfect/

NatSpeak    <NatSpeak Category>    Macro
[This and the following two macros, like the two above, are shortcuts to Step 4 of the Application Macro Wizard, but these work only for various NatSpeak categories. For example, if you wanted to write a macro that only works in the NatSpeak Correction Box, you would say "NatSpeak Correction Macro." This is a separate macro simply because NatSpeak has many unique subcategories.]
NatSpeak    <NatSpeak Category>    [This is simply a shorter way to say the above macro.]
Edit (Change)    NatSpeak    <NatSpeak Category>

NatSpeak Categories:
NatSpeak/Command Wizard/Correction/6 (6 of 7)/5 (5 of 7)/4 (4 of 7)/3 (3 of 7)/2 (2 of 7)/List/New 3/New 4/New 6/Edit 3/Edit 4/Edit 5/Edit 6

Last    Global/Application (App) Macro/Bigger (Window)
[The "Macro" macros take you to Step 6 of the last Global or Application macro you wrote or changed. These are very useful for going back to a macro after testing it. The "Bigger" macros do the same, then invoke the "Bigger Window" command.]
Last    Global/Application (App) [This is a shorter way to say the above "Macro" macro.]
Last    Global/Application (App) Categories
[This also takes you to the last macro you wrote, but stops at Step 4.]
