Eudora:

Note
: I use Eudora 4.1, and because this version does not have Select and Say abilities, I use the "Use DragonPad" or "Use WordPad" macros to switch the message to a window I can use Select and Say abilities in. "Copy and Paste" or "Copy All to Eudora" switches the message back to Eudora. Some people use Eudora 3.x because with the registry hack posted on Dragon System’s website, you can get NatSpeak's Select and Say abilities to work with Eudora 3.x. If you use 3.0 the following "Hide/Show Preview" and "Close Status" macros are not valid. The "Transfer to <Mailbox>" macro will not work in Eudora 3.0. To fix this, replace the "Transfer to <Mailbox>" macro with the "Transfer to Version Three <Mailbox>" macro.

Send Again
Send Again     New (New Person)/New Body/1-10/To Field/To Delete/To Middle/Subject/Subject Delete/Subject Middle/Body/First Line     [This combines the "Send Again" command with placing the cursor around the body of the new message and deleting or adding various parts of it. The "Send Again 1-10" commands go a little further. "Send Again 1", for instance, replaces the "To" field with the contents of the "address 1" file, and the first line with the contents of the "person 1" file. To put names and addresses in these files, use the "Copy to Address/Person 1-10" commands.]

Reply     to That/To Name (To First)/To Second (To Second Name)/To Full (To Full Name)/Chop 10/Chop 15(Chop)/Chop 20/Use WordPad/Use Word     [The "Name", "Second" and "Full" commands add the sender's name to the top of your message. The "Chop" commands delete the message after 10, 15 or 20 lines. The "Use" commands copy everything to Word or WordPad, where you can use Select and Say commands. Use "Copy All to Eudora" to copy the message back when you're finished. The following three commands combine two or all of the the "Name" "Chop" and "Use" commands into one step.]

Message (New Message)/Send All/Forward (Forward All) (Forward This)/Send This (Send Selection)    To
[The "Message" commands open a new message, the "Send" commands copy the full text of what you are currently in and launch a new message.

The "Forward" commands forward the message, including headers. The "Send This" command does the same, but only copies what is selected. The plain "to" commands let you select a nickname off a list, while the following <Nickname> commands paste the Nickname on the to line of your your message, paste what has been copied to the body of the message, then put the cursor on the subject line.]

Go    Body    <Body Categories>    [This combines "Go Body," which puts you in the body of the message, with one of several cursor positioning commands.]

1-76    Link    1-20     [This does the same as the above command, but pastes the contents of one of the link files into the link box. To load up these files, use the "Copy to Link    1-20" command. Note: this command uses the Link files contained in the Store folder. The Store folder must be copied into C:\My Documents for this command to work.]

Go    <Mailbox> (<Mailbox> Box)    [This opens the folder or top-level mailbox of your choice.

Note that the names of your folders and mailboxes must be entered into the mailbox list. To get to the list say "Edit Eudora Macro," find and highlight the "Go <Mailbox>" macro by saying "Press g-o" (if this is not get you to the right macro, use the "Up/Down 1-100" commands to refine your choice.) Then say "Next 3" to get to the Mailbox list of that macro. Enter all your Eudora Folders and top level mailboxes (mailboxes that are not in folders) there. You can first delete the existing folders except the top three -- In, Out and Trash.]
Go    <Mailbox>    <Mailbox2>    [This opens the folder of your choice, then a mailbox within that folder. If you change the <Mailbox> list in the Go <Mailbox> macro above, you don't have to do it again for another macro that uses it. But you do have to change the <Mailbox2> list. Follow the above instructions to find the "Go <Mailbox> <Mailbox2>," then add to this list the names of your second level Eudora mailboxes -- those that are in folders.]

Transfer to    <Mailbox>    [This and the next macro transfer the highlighted message or messages to the mailbox of your choice. Note: In order for this to work you must put the names of your mailboxes in the list <Mailbox>. See the instructions above, but note that you don't have to go through this process again because once you have changed the mailbox list, it is changed for all Eudora macros that use that list.]

<Add, Copy, Cut Commands>   Person/Address/Subject/email    1-10     [This set of global commands allows you to cut and paste text to a series of files (person 1, e-mail 4, etc. These files are stored in the Store folder in My Documents. These commands are similar to commands found in the Cutting and Pasting section for the files labeled 1-20. Note that when you copy or cut to a person, address, subject or e-mail file, you're replacing whatever was in that file. Use the Add commands to add text.]
Open/Paste/Add/Replace/New    Person/Address/Subject/email    1-10     [These allow you to paste into Eudora text you have already put into these files. "Open" simply allows you look at the file. "Paste" will paste the file or the cursor is. "Add" puts the file of your choice in the appropriate place -- "Person" files go on the top line of the body followed by a comma, "Address" files get pasted to the "to" line, subject goes in the subject line, and email in the body. "Replace" is similar to add, but replaces People's names and addresses already on those lines. "Add email" replaces the e-mail message, but leaves the first line, while "Replace email" replaces the entire body.
