on before cutting or copying.]
Cut/Copy 1-20 Words/Lines/Clean
Lines/Paragraphs
Cut/Copy 1-20 1-20 ["Copy

cursor.]
Cut/Copy 1-20 1-20 Words/Lines/Clean
Lines/Paragraphs ["Cut 3 2 words" cuts three
words to the left and 2 words to the right of the cursor.]
Copy as Bitmap/Window as Bitmap [This
copies a bitmap image of either the screen or window you are on to the
Clipboard.]
Paste That Another/Insert/Last/New/Next/End/Home/Left/Right/Quote
(Quotes)/Bottom/Top ["Paste Quote" adds quotes
to the saved text you are pasting."Paste Bottom"is especially
useful in Windows Explorer because it lets you immediately see that files
have been pasted correctly]
Clean Paste [This combines "Paste That"
and "Backspace"]
Another/Insert/Last/New/Next/End/Home/Left/Right/Quote
(Quotes) Paste
Replace this Line [This
replaces the current line with saved text.]
Duplicate Line/Paragraph/Document/This/Close/Argument ["Duplicate
Close" duplicates selected text and pastes it on the same line. "Duplicate
Paragraph" pastes after two returns. The other Duplicate commands paste
after one return.]
Duplicate Line/Paragraph/(All)
Document/This 1-20 Times
Insert Up (Line)/Down/Top/Bottom/Paragraph/Top
Paragraph/Bottom Paragraph/,/./? [The punctuation
marks are inserted one space to the left. This is useful when you are
working with quotes and brackets. The Insert Up/Down/Top/Bottom commands
insert a blank line. The "Bottom/Top" commands insert a line or paragraph
at the top or bottom of the document.]
Cut/Copy All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to

Cut/Copy Top of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to

Cut/Copy All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to Last/Next Window/Document
Cut/Copy Top of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to Last/Next Window/Document
Cut/Copy All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to Last/Next [This
is a quicker way to say the above "Window" command.]
Cut/Copy to <Program> [This and the
next two macros are quicker ways to say the above "Cut/Copy This" commands.]
Cut/Copy to Last/Next Window/Document
Cut/Copy to Last/Next [This
quick version is especially useful in conjunction with the general Global
macros "Switch This" and "Switch Selection." Using this combination you
can quickly copy material you are working on from a program that doesn't
allow NatSpeak's "Select and Say" abilities into the NatSpeak window,
work on it using "Select and Say," then copy it back]
Copy and Paste [This is an alternate way
to say the above "Copy to Next."]
Program:
NatSpeak, Word, Notepad, Wordpad, Eudora, Netscape, Explorer, Dreamweaver,
Fusion, Quicken, Photoshop, Calculator, Cute HTML, WordPerfect.
Copy/Copy All/Copy This/Copy Line/Copy
Paragraph Close [This
combines copying with closing a window.]
Cut/Copy/Add All/This
(Selection)/Line/Paragraph to
1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20
[This
and the next few macros control a sort of voice clipboard. In this and
the next macro, the "Cut" and "Copy" commands bring up Notepad, WordPad
or Word with the requested file, and pastes what you have copied into
it, and saves the file. Any existing 1-20 or Link 1-20 file is erased
when you paste a new one. The
"Wordpad
List/List
1-10/Scrap/Pad/a-z, Alpha-Zulu/1-20/Word
1-20/Word
a-z, Alpha-Zulu" commands are more permanent because
the "Cut" and "Copy" commands add to the files rather than replacing them.
The "Add" command adds to the end of a 1-20 or Link 1-20 file rather than
replacing the file. The 1-20, "Link", "Scrap", "Pad"
and "List"
commands are all Notepad files. A-z, Alpha-Zulu and Wordpad 1-20 are Wordpad
files, and Word 1-20 are Word files.
These
commands are useful for copying and pasting multiple files, or copying
to a more permanent place then the Clipboard. The link commands are also
part of several Eudora and Dreamweaver commands. You can load these up
with URLs you want to later link.]
Cut/Copy/Add All/This
(Selection)/Line/Paragraph to 1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20
Stay/Close [The
"Close" is the same as the above
command. The "Stay" command leaves the file you copied to open.]
Cut/Copy Top
of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to
1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20
Cut/Copy Top
of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to
1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20 Stay/Close
Cut/Copy/Add to 1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20 [This
is a quicker way to say the above "Cut/Copy This" commands.]
Cut/Copy/Add Sentence to
1-20/Link
1-20/Scrap/Pad/List/List
1-20/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/Wordpad
1-20/Word 1-20
[Note: This "Sentence"
version of the "Cut/Copy/Add" commands only works in Word. For example,
you can say "Cut Sentence to 4" only if you are in a Word document.]
Note: you must have List.txt, Link.txt, Scrap.txt, and 1.txt, 2.txt,
Alpha.txt, Bravo.txt etc. files in the folder My Documents in a subfolder
called Store (My Documents\Store) in order for the above and following
"1-20" and "Link/List/Scrap/Pad/Alpha-Zulu" commands to work. You can accomplish
this by adding the folders yourself, or by downloading the "Store"
folder from Scriven and putting it in your "My Documents" folder.
Self-Guided Tour: Cutting and Pasting with 1-20 Notepad Files
If there were three paragraphs in different locations in
a document that you wanted to cut, then paste in a different order in
a different place in the document, you would do the following:
1. Highlight the first paragraph you wanted to cut by saying "Select Paragraph"
(or "This Paragraph") and say "Cut 1"
2. Highlight the second paragraph and say "Cut 2"
3. Highlight the third paragraph and say "Cut 3"
4. Go to where you want to paste the paragraphs and say "Paste 2," "Paste
1," "Paste 3," or whatever order you want to paste them in.]
Add to Pad [This pastes to the existing Notepad
document without first adding space.]
Paste/Copy 1-20/List/List
1-10/Scrap/Pad/a-z,Alpha-Zulu [The
"Paste" commands paste the contents of the 1-20, List, or Scrap files
to the document you are in. The "Copy" commands copy the contents to Clipboard
without pasting.]
Open/Open New 1-20/List/List
1-10/Scrap/Pad/a-z,Alpha-Zulu
[The "Open" commands open the 1-20, List, Scrap
and Pad files while the "New" commands open a new copy of Notepad containing
the requested file. You can add your own files to the Open, Cut/Copy,
and Paste/Copy Global Macros.]
Copy 1-20/List/List
1-10/Scrap/Pad/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/<WordPad
Document> to Clipboard
Copy Clipboard to 1-20/List/List
1-10/Scrap/Pad/a-z,Alpha-Zulu/<WordPad
Document>
Cut/Copy/Add All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to
<Word PadDocument> [This and the next
six macros are similar to the above Notepad commands, but they open files
in WordPad instead of Notepad. In order to use the WordPad 1-10 files
in the WordPad document list, you must add files named WordPad1, WordPad2
etc. to a folder called Store in My Documents.]
Cut/Copy Top of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to
<WordPadDocument>
Open <WordPadDocument>
Cut/Copy All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to
<Word PadDocument> Close [This
and the next command do the same as the similar commands above, but close
the document after copying to it.]
Cut/Copy Top of/Rest of Line/Paragraph/Document to
<WordPadDocument> Close
Add (Add This)/Add All to <WordPadDocument> [This
does the same as the "Copy to" commands above, but pastes to the bottom
of the WordPad document without putting line break in.]
WordPad Document:
WordPad1, WordPad2, WordPad3, WordPad4, WordPad5,WordPad6, WordPad7, WordPad8,
WordPad9,WordPad10.
Cut/Copy/Add All/This (Selection)/Line/Paragraph to Macro
Window/Macro Window Two [This and the next
command allow you to directly open and copy to the Macro Window files.
"Cut" and "Copy" replace any existing text with what you are copying to
the file. The "Add" commands copy to the bottom of the existing file.
See the bottom of the WordPad section for an explanation of the Macro
Window files.]
Open Macro Window/Macro Window Two
Save (Save All)/Save This (Selection) to <Common
Folders> [This copies a document or selection
to a new WordPad file and launches the Save As window open to the folder
you specify. You will probably want to name your own Common Files.]
